Dan Seitz has more than 39 years of experience representing diverse public policy interests in the Indiana legislature and working with Indiana regulatory agencies. Prior to joining Bose Public Affairs Group as a principal, Seitz was chairman of the Public
Affairs Practice Group of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. Before joining Bose McKinney & Evans, he was the vice president of governmental relations for Lincoln National Corp. based in Fort Wayne, Ind. Seitz remains a partner with Bose McKinney & Evans.
A graduate of Indiana University Law School, Bloomington, he is also a board member of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce; a co-founder, member and two-time former president of the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana; former chairman and a board member of the Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute; a board member of the Indiana Legal Foundation; a former president of Mental Health America of Indiana; a member of the Association of Life Insurance Counsel; a fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation; a former board member of the Public Affairs Council; and served on the Health Finance Advisory Committee, the State Health Finance Policy Commission and the Health Care Professional Development Commission of the Indiana State Department of Health.
Seitz has presented dozens of seminars and written numerous articles about health policy and insurance matters as well as other issues pertaining to the Indiana legislature or legislative process. His articles have appeared in publications such as the Indianapolis Business Journal and In-Roads. He has spoken to various groups, including the Government Affairs Association of Indiana, Indiana Health Underwriters Association, Public Affairs Council, Indiana Association of Counties and the CPA Society.
Seitz is an Honorary Insurance Commissioner for the state of Indiana; and has been named among The Best Lawyers in America® 2007-2009; Indiana Super Lawyers® (Government Relations law, 2004-2009) and is a recipient of the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana Allen C. Steere Award.
Seitz has worked in the Indiana legislature and with Indiana regulatory agencies since 1970 with a focus on insurance and health policy. However, he has broad experience in representing diverse public policy interests.
