A consultant of Bose Public Affairs Group, John Barnett extends the firm’s extensive lobbying efforts on behalf of clients. As a registered lobbyist in Indiana since 1971, Barnett has vast experience representing clients before governmental agencies. He helps clients with a variety of issues, including the environment, franchises, gaming, utilities and alcoholic beverages. Additionally, he specializes in issues concerning information technology, taxation, workplace, financial institutions and health.
A graduate of DePauw University, Barnett received his doctor of jurisprudence
degree from Indiana University School of Law. He formerly was the director of public affairs at the Kroger Co, during which time he was responsible for government
relations, media relations and charitable giving for a five-state area.
He is a founding director and former president of the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana. He is a member of the Columbia Club and Ulen Country Club. Barnett has also been awarded the prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash by the state of Indiana.
