Senior Policy Advisor
Jennifer Drewry is a senior policy advisor at Bose Public Affairs Group, as well as of counsel in the Hospitality and Alcoholic Beverage Law Group of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. She advises breweries, distillers, retailers, distributors, food and alcohol purveyors and other businesses and individuals in all aspects of the alcoholic beverage industry and related governmental agency practices and procedures.
Drewry is a registered lobbyist in Indiana. She brings vast agency experience, having served as a prosecutor for the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission for nearly 10 years, as a gubernatorial appointee by Mitch Daniels. Drewry prosecuted before the Commission all violations of laws of all permit holders throughout the State pertaining to alcohol beverages and tobacco. She brings a wealth of knowledge in analyzing, developing and implementing policies and procedures at the governmental agency level involving all aspects of the permitting process. Her background as the State Prosecutor for the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission gives Drewry insight into agency rules, orders, processes and procedures, as well as a working knowledge of the rules and laws under Title 7.1 of the Indiana Code. She gained a wide range of experience in how to address agency decision making practices, the steps to be taken to streamline the application and procurement process, and when required, how to meet the evidentiary and legal procedures and standards for successfully meeting a governmental challenge to securing and/or maintaining permits, alleged violations and addressing threatened or actual adversarial agency actions in both agency and judicial proceedings. In her legal practice, Drewry offers well-grounded and practical guidance, advice and advocacy to companies and businesses that either are seeking alcoholic beverage permits or needing assistance in maintaining permits and meeting the multi-faceted compliance requirements in this highly regulated alcohol and tobacco industry.
She is a graduate of the Indiana University McKinney School of Law – Indianapolis. After graduating from law school, Drewry clerked for the Honorable Allen Sharp, Northern District of Indiana, from 2002 to 2004.
