Indianapolis - BoseTreacy Associates LLC is changing the firm's name to Bose Public Affairs
Group LLC effective Monday, December 4, 2006.
"The new name, specifically the use of 'Public Affairs' more accurately encompasses the
variety of services provided by the firm to assist clients in the public and private sectors," Dan
Seitz, managing principal of Bose Public Affairs Group, said. "Our services include federal,
state and local lobbying; strategic communications, including crisis communications;
procurement; association management; and political consulting - all elements of a full-service
public affairs firm."
In addition to the name change, Bose Public Affairs Group has added two professionals, who
bring years of experience in their respective fields to the firm.
Roger Harvey has joined Bose Public Affair Group as a vice president of communications.
Harvey will assist clients with media relations, crisis communications and strategic
communications initiatives. Most recently, he anchored the weekend news and worked as an
investigative reporter for WTHR-13 (NBC affiliate) in Indianapolis. Harvey is an Emmy
award-winning journalist, whose news reports have been featured on MSNBC, CBS, CNN
and Court TV, as well as network affiliates across the country. He is a graduate of the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has 18 years of experience in broadcasting.
"Roger's experience as a television journalist will provide our clients with a unique
perspective as they build relationships with the media, and during those occasions when they
must respond to reporters' inquiries," Michael O'Connor, principal of Bose Public Affairs
Group, said.
Craig Piercy has joined the firm as senior vice president and director of federal relations.
Piercy provides full-time federal relations representation to firm clients in Washington, D.C.
He is a resident of Washington, D.C., and has more than 16 years of government relations
experience, working with corporations, universities, associations, and state and local
governments.
"During the last 16 years, Craig has served as chief of staff for the office of Congressman Joe
Knollenberg from Michigan, has served as vice president of federal affairs for Wayne State
University and has worked in D.C. lobbying firms," Paul Mannweiler, principal of Bose Public
Affairs Group, said. "All his experience and skills are now at the disposal of our clients."
In conjunction with Piercy's affiliation with Bose Public Affairs Group, the firm has opened an
office in Washington, D.C. The new office is adjacent to the existing office of the law firm of
Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. Bose McKinney & Evans has had a Washington, D.C.
presence since 2000.
