The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP and the governmental affairs firm of Bose Public Affairs Group LLC formed the Bose Stimulus Response Team in February 2009. The team of lawyers and lobbyists in Indiana and Washington, DC provide practical advice and assistance to local government and business clients seeking economic opportunity in the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).
The Act, signed into law by President Barack Obama on Feb. 17, 2009, provides nearly $1 trillion in federal tax cuts and additional spending intended to mitigate the economic downturn. The ARRA funding and tax provisions open a narrow window of economic opportunity to enable business and government to generate employment and productivity in our country. Because the economic crisis is urgent, the ARRA provisions require immediate implementation and short-term completion. Swift action and relevant information are required to guide actions.
The Bose Stimulus Response Team was the first of its kind announced in the Indianapolis area. Members of the team have extensive experience in obtaining federal funding, both in Washington and at the state level. The team closely monitors and analyzes federal and state decisions about the allocation and distribution of ARRA funding and counsels clients on aspects of the legislation that may potentially impact their communities or businesses. The team members also assist with identifying funding opportunities, requesting stimulus funding and involvement in stimulus-related projects.
