Rachel Sorvig, APR

Vice President


As a member of the strategic communications team, Sorvig provides a wide range of services to local, state and national clients in the areas of media relations, strategic planning, grassroots advocacy, crisis and reputation management.

She is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) through the Universal Accreditation Board. The APR designation is earned by practitioners who’ve demonstrated broad knowledge, sound professional judgement and years of experience in the field of public relations.

Prior to joining Bose Public Affairs Group, Sorvig served as communications director for the Office of Indiana Lt. Governor Becky Skillman. In this capacity, she managed and executed the strategic communications for the Lt. Governor’s executive office, as well as five additional state agencies, including departments responsible for energy, agriculture, housing, community affairs and tourism.

Sorvig began her career in strategic communications with Indiana University in Bloomington where she served as communications assistant for the IU Board of Trustees.


Sorvig has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, where she majored in journalism with a concentration in public relations and minored in business. She earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) through the Universal Accreditation Board. She also holds a certificate in Reputation Risk Management from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Honors / Awards

Sorvig has led several award winning campaigns at Bose Public Affairs Group. Her work has earned the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Hoosier Chapter’s top honor, a Best of Show award, for internal communications. PRSA also recognized her with Pinnacle Awards for public affairs, media relations and consumer collateral as well as an Award of Honor for external communications. In addition, her expertise garnered three Diamond Awards and an Award of Merit from PRSA’s East Central District which includes Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Appointments / Memberships

Sorvig was appointed in 2018 to the Carmel Economic Development Commission. In addition, she is a member of the Planning Committee for the Lt. Governor’s Leadership Luncheon for the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana. Sorvig is an active member with the Public Relations Society of America Hoosier Chapter. She is a graduate of the 2015-2016 Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series class. She is currently part of the 2018-2019 Hamilton County Leadership Academy class.
